So how come this is not documented by Nokia as a working feature ? I am sure they should know if the front-facing camera is triggered by the camera button in some situations ... no ?

So, just to make sure, both audio and video work simultaneously so that you can talk and see at the same time? And it works in both the N900 and in the computer? Are you using firmware 1.1?

I'm asking as kakaroto of aMSN got it to work, but it was images both ways, and audio one way only.

I noticed that it doesn't work with Mac's initiating the video call, it will work fine until you click on the camera button on the N900 and then it crashes.

It worked for me. My wife was using gmail chat and initiated voice chat with me when I was logged onto my N900. It worked and I had a camera icon, I clicked it and the video + audio chat worked great.

Yep I noticed it the other day too when my folks called me from the other side of the world .. I was literally amazed .. !!

Although, it is a big slow you know, and the screen gets pixelated too ... the audio has a background 'hiss' too I think ..
