I cannot update from PR1.2 to PR1.3 OTA
I am getting the following and I do not wish to update with USB cable and nokia PC suite. I want to update with my wifi connection OTA
I read somewhere that it's needed to have more than 45mb available in rootfs. I have 66.8mb available and all repositories disabled except nokia update repository

What can I do to update OTA?
please help because I don't want to install everything from the beginning like I did with PR1.1 to PR1.2

and please don't tell me backup everything and try pc suite update.

thanks

That's what I get

The problem could be also due a conflicting application/library which prevents the OTA update from proceeding.
When you try the update in application manager check out the "Details" information before starting update.

It will show if there is some dependency conflict that prevents from the update proceeding. Then you can try to remove the conflicting application/package first.

Go to details and find out what conflicts with the update.
Uninstall the whatever it is (and things that depend on it).
You may need to go to an x-terminal, type "root" and then "apt-get remove conflicting-package-here" if the conflict is a hidden package or library.

in details and problems it displays conflict with application packages
libqt4-test (4.6.2~git20100401-0maemo1+0m5)
libgles1-sgx-img (0.20091104.34+0m5)

I don't really know what these are or how to uninstall them.

Try to remove the libgles1-sgx-img package.

Open up xterminal, change to root and use apt-get.
Type these in xterminal (shell):

sudo gainroot

apt-get remove libgles1-sgx-img

Hi
I have just done
sudo gainroot
apt-get remove libqt4-test
apt-get remove libgles1-sgx-img

it looked fine
I went to the update screen again and there was the same problem again.

Did it show the same conflicting packages in the update details screen?

I need to get some sleep now (really late here), so I hope someone else can help you. But it definitely looks like a problem with the conflicting packages.

I had a similar problem with the OTA update (due to libgles1-sgx-img) but I was able to remote the package with apt-get and continue with the update.

You can also try power search (on the right hand side menu on this site) with "libgles1-sgx-img".

Edit:

And also see the firmware update troubleshooting info at Wiki:

Use the Faster Application Manager application, I had the exact same screen message when upgrading my n900.

It will crash half way through but the upgrade will continue to be applied. Just give it time and keep an eye on it witk Conky or run the command

top

in the terminal to check out the extracting process.

I missed those in x-terminal. It showed problems with fmrdsnotify and tuxrace. I uninstalled them and it seems there are no problems for OTA update now.
I will update tomorrow as I am also sleepy coz it's really late here too

thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it
