I whipped up this little startup video, mostly because the harsh sounding Nokia Tune in the original got on my nerves - and because I wanted to put the MeeGo logo in! I've included some stills to give you an idea what it looks like.

Materials used:
Duration: 18s
Format: 480x854
Video codec: H.264 MP4, baseline profile, 1.8mbps
Audio codec: 128kbps MP3, mono
File size: 2.5mb

Download the video here

To install, first upload the new video to your handset using SFTP or USB connection, for example to MyDocs/Movies (so you can test the movie in the normal video player if you want to see what it's like). Next, rename the original video in /usr/share/MProgressIndicator/themes/opengl/ The file is called MainAnimation_LowNoise.mp4 and you can rename it through terminal with these commands (you need to be SU):

Code:
cd /usr/share/MProgressIndicator/themes/opengl
mv MainAnimation_LowNoise.mp4 MainAnimation_LowNoise.mp4.org
Finally, to copy the new video to the correct location (assuming you uploaded it to "MyDocs/Movies"), use this terminal command:

Code:
cp /home/user/MyDocs/Movies/meego_moon.mp4 MainAnimation_LowNoise.mp4
Hope you enjoy!

Edit 29 Nov 2012: Video re-uploaded and link updated - grab it while it's there!

18 secs seems a bit too long to me, but each to their own!

Well I was kind of limited by the length of the music here. I spent a lot of time looking around for a pleasant "Nokia Tune" and this was the best one I could find. Personally, I don't mind the length at all, but then I don't reboot my phone very often...
