If I put my n900 in normal mode and there is an incoming call he does not sound it only vibrates And Also when i get a message he will give not sound only vibrates. I have this since I PR. 1.4 installed, I've even reinstalled my software, it still doesn't work. for the rest everything works when I enter my keyboard a sound, the sound of the games Works. pleaaasssseeee can someone help meeee

PR1.4.....? You sure about that? You mean PR1.3 + CSSU, right?

yes i mean PR 1.3. what do you mean with CSSU ??

Never mind. So you have PR1.3 and no ringtones at all, but ALL other sounds work fine on your N900?
Are you certain silent mode isn't on, or the volume is on zero/very low so you cannot hear it?

One other question: Are you using any type of headphone or bluetooth headset etc?

Could you list any multimedia software you have installed, media players, converters, etc?

yes all other sounds work fine. im realy shure that the phone is not on silent mode and the volume state on highest.
i can listen all multimedia software.
i doesn't use headphone's or headset or anything else

What about software? What have you installed that could affect media?

when i have reinstalled my software i doesn't had any application only the maemo apps. maybe this : i have always my N900 in silent mode only when it is vacation

OK, so go into Settings and under Personalisation tap Profiles. Under the General profile it should have "Vibrate" ticked and it will have a ring tone listed underneath with a volume slider. Ensure a valid ringtone is shown and that the slider is all the way to the right. Then click Save, and ring your phone to test.

it still doesn' work i have try it with vibrate on/off i have set nokia tune all on highest

What if you change the ringtone to something else? (in case that ringtone is at fault)
