Howdy All,

So I just got a new SIM chip from T-Mobile in the mail (I had been using AT&T previously with my N900) and for some reason I cannot get my device to connect to the 3g on the T-Mobile network... It had worked fine with the 2.5g over AT&T.

Are there certain settings I need to change or?... Help!

I called to Tmobile to setup Internet Connection. 2-3.5G depending on the area and coverage.

Do I need to make a separate call to activate the 3g? The phone/texting works fine on it.

I went into the connections and edited the url to read "epc.tmobile.com" and it now says that it is "connected" however I cannot access anything on the web.

Is this an issue on T-Mobile's end then I need to call them to get sorted out?

silly question:

Do you have a data plan with T-Mo?

Is it the correct one?

Last I heard, T-mo uses epc.tmobile.com for their 3G network, and internet2.voicestream.com for the non3g stuff.

Could be wrong though. I'm on the G1 plan, so epc.tmobile.com works for me.

could be a plan issue, I had an AT&T sim in mine until I got my T-Mobile sim, it just worked after swapping one for the other. Sounds like its time to call them.

Just I am paying for unlimited data (3g) with T-Mobile.

Going to give them a phone call now.

It doesn't matter if he's in a 3G area or not. If he isn't, he should still be able to pull data on EDGE.

that's wrong ...internet 2 is edge ... to connect to 3g the connect should be :

internet3.voicestream.com

trust me

edit: do you know how to get there? well just in case :

Settings>Internet Connections>Connections>T-mobile>Edit>Next

then check if your connection is set on : internet3.voicestream.com
and username and pass should be left blank hit finish and restart.
