For Internet-Telephone-Calling I prefer to use VoIP-Providers like Betamax. (Additional note for those of you interested: For price comparison of any of those you can look at http://progx.ch/?ln=1 )
The SIP settings work fine, however the sound quality via 3G Internet Data connection is not good. The providers also offer Call-Back-Services at additional costs - then the quality is quite decent.
In the Android world there is an easy going App for this (see https://www.mobilevoip.com/ ). In my N900 I have to log on into the website and key into the browser windwo the number I would like to call. Only then I get this done. Quite cumbersome.
I would like to have it automated in Maemo as well:
* Select the contact
* Select the way to call "Call-Back-Via-SIP"
* Initiate the call
I do not mind in a more complicated initial setup - if then it would work that easily.
Any ideas how to bring this functionality onto the device?
