You may keep kernel-power and get rid of kernel-power-settings. Indeed, this may be the cause of very rare (and untracked, yet) bug, that only few people experienced. Anyway, you can do everything that kernel-power-setting does yourself, without actually using KPS.

right, how to remove kernel-power-settings? or maybe simplier to update to kp v53? according to Alecsandru post it seems that readings are far better than mine.

Thanks Estel - I had missed that the reference was to the kp-settings and not kp itself.

Updating to kp53 likely will not help as kernel-power-settings may be essentially the same ie. still carry the bug.

You can remove kernel-power-settings v0.17 normally, as it will not remove kp52. And I believe I was also correct in noting that if you installed cssu-testing, you would have the modules required for usbmode and (?) aircrack, without needing a power kernel.

maybe he can try a custom profile for kernel config , taking the default one and lowering voltages?

So, as you suggested, I have deleted kernel-power-settings but probably it did not made major changes.
after few restarts powertop gave me same result as before

C# | Ratio | Avg/dura | Frequency | Ratio
--------+--------+----------+-----------+--------+
C0 | 17.9% | | 1150 MHz | nan% |
C1 | 0.5% | 2.5ms |
C2 | 4.1% | 4.5ms |
C3 | 18.4% | 147.1ms |
C4 | 61.2% | 612.0ms |
I think my next step will be uninstallation of the kp or reflashing.

Remember to use the correct procedure for that uninstall

A reflash may be best - reflash -> powertop confirmation all's OK -> CSSU testing (or thumb) -> powertop confirmation -> usbmode.

What I would do, clean slate etc..

What are all those "sleep" processes in your powertop output? Did you install some magic "patch" by chance?

could you pastebin the result of "maemo-list-user-packages"?

What is that misterious bug you're talking about that I am not aware of?

I believe Estel was conjecturing that there may be a bug given the current case and that of tanago starting here and culminating with this statement from tanago.

Thanks for chipping in here - I saw those sleep processes but don't know enuff to realise they were way wrong. However, installing some or other patch and not mentioning it on a troubleshooting thread would be unhelpful :-)

If <4hrs means 2 :-) I think it's a little lean on juice. Truly intensive what you describe for close to 4 hrs is perhaps reasonable. Thing is, a polarcell replacement is not that much, and hey, irritation of calibration aside, you will know how the other one stacks up.

Charging can take a couple of hours, not so? But not 4 hours with stock Nokia charger.
