i'm not sure why, but the battery icon seems to be always greyed out now, and the corresponding button says 'start apmd' and 'apmd disconnected'.

iirc, there were a couple of updates that came in recently related to this.

anyone any ideas?

max.

did you reboot? if it persists after rebooting, uninstall and reinstall advanced-power.

Same problem here.... i had to remove all the packages concerning advanced-power, clean all the paths and reinstall:

aptitude purge advanced-power-common advanced-power-monitor advanced-power

rm -rf /opt/maemo/usr/lib/advanced-power-monitor

aptitude install advanced-power-common advanced-power-monitor advanced-power advanced-interface-switcher

After this, reboot....and voilą! The battery is there!
