Interesting. Another few hundred hours of collective time wasted testing their coupons.

Play.com is based in Jersey. Isn't play.com based in the Channel Islands, so that they evade VAT? I remember ordering DVDs from them 2 years ago, and I had to pay VAT when I received them here in Germany.

(Not all the time, some parcels went through customs scrutiny.)

Besides, play.com will only ship electronics to the UK, not anywhere else in Europe.

Ok, how is this for odd....

Bought the N810 off the UK site using the code.

Price quoted and emailed £289.64 (inc express delivery).

When it arrives the packing slip in the box says that actually the cost was £338.99 (the price without any discount).

Panic! Check my online account to find Nokia have charged me.....

£240.29!!

No idea how they came up with that number. I gave no VAT information (I have a VAT registered company, so they must have included VAT, and the 289.64 without VAT would be 246.50)

As I can claim VAT back on that, it means my N810 cost me £204.50!

Of course I wouldn't rule out Nokia making another charge to my account at some point...

still nothing @ the Canadian store

I'm really getting sick of waiting for my n810.
ordered it from ca.buy.com on nov23.. waited a month and a bit.. nothing.
canceled and ordered from someone more reputable (ncix) and it has been on order since dec25 :F

I swear.. if ordering from NOKIA directly takes more than a month I'm going to go insane!

I was fortunate enough to pick-up a new, sealed-in-box Nokia N810 off of Ebay for right at $375.00 (U.S.). This was about two weeks ago and have really enjoyed using it! If you keep an eye out, you can usually pick one up (NEW) for less than just about anywhere else. (Watch when there are several for sale -- the average purchase price is lower!)
