Was search feature removed from the App Manager in PR 1.2 ? I cannot find it anywhere.

Solution
  1. Open App. Manager
  2. Tap Download
  3. Tap All
  4. Slide out keyboard
  5. Start typing

Select a category (simply "All" is best if you want to search for something) then just start typing your search.

this kinda sucked, most of us have added the extra-devel and extra-testing catalog and so when choosing "ALL", it will take quite a while to load the long list of apps.

I find it much faster to just use the search function but now that it's removed, i have to wait longer by loading "ALL"......of course, you can choose the individual sections to load only items in that particular category/section, but sometimes you don't know which category that the app you want might be in...

I agree, the global search option was pretty neat. However you can always use apt-cache search from the terminal to search from all available packets

I don't see the search option in the app manager menu. I don't understand why do they do this or it's a bug.

No it's not a bug.
On the list of applications, just type the name of the application instead.
That's now the search function.

Type the name of the app on the app list to start a search.

It isn't a bug, it just works differently now. Just select a category and start typing with keyboard and it starts searching automatically.

EDIT: wow, one minute late
