I have a UK variant and after the update last night I can't seem to be able to change themes. I've been trying to access the themes selection from the desktop and from the settings. It just doesn't do anything. Tried taking out the battery and rebooting but no go..

..help?

I've got the UK variant, upgraded yesterday and I can still change themes (from Nokia Nseries to Digital Nature and back again).

Good for you, but that info doesn't help me much.

Same, not sure if mine was after the update though. I click themes, and nothing launches.

You can try running (as root) "/usr/bin/personalisation /usr/share/themes/default" to force it back to the default theme and see if that helps any.

If not, see if running "personalisation_app" prints any error messages.

when I try to run personalisation_app it says "Segmentation fault"

When I try to force the default theme (as root) it says "could not replace symlink: invalid cross-device link"

Hmm, a shot in the dark, but:

Code:
rm /etc/hildon/theme/
ln -s /usr/share/themes/default /etc/hildon/theme
/usr/bin/personalisation /usr/share/themes/default
Were you using a theme that was on /opt, by any chance?

Okay so what you typed before actually worked when I rebooted. It change themes through that command but I still can't access the regular themes menu.

What does this command do btw?

I was trying to let you know that it didn't affect everybody, so you could maybe concentrate on investigating customisations you'd made, rather than just assuming the latest update broke it for everyone.

Did some more searching and unistalling package duitheme did it. I thought I had removed that demo widget, but it had some lurky packages.
