I have hundreds of exchange contacts that I keep on my phone but more importantly I have around 40 personal contacts and these are the ones I use most. Is there any way I can view the personal contacts separately apart from marking the personal contacts as favorites or manually adding them all to a group?

open contacts
click the right bottom symbol (3 bars)
select show
choose the phonebook you like.
click the right bottom symbol (3 bars)

Are you sure? It has three different options; phonebook, contacts on sim and Mail for Exchange. The problem is that all personal contacts and Mail for Exchange contacts are showing in phonebook because they get merged!

Group your people, make the group a favourite. The group will be at the top of the contact list.
