I'd like to hear your opinions about battery life with PR1.2.

Mine was bad at first (probably the tracker or whatever rebuilding the cache) but has since gone down to normal, if not slightly lower, levels.
Heck, mine today (over 16 hours without charge) is reading at 11mA at idle. I'd say the battery life has gotten even better now that I think about it.

No worries about getting a full day at all.

I see no difference.
PS. But to be honest I have to say for me it is worse, because PR1.2 introduced regression in Fenix mail, leading to constant CPU load that drains the battery in 3-4 hours if unnoticed. Please vote for it here: https://harmattan-bugs.nokia.com/show_bug.cgi?id=198

Before I got two days of heavy use. Now I can't go more than 24h.

anecdotally seems better for me. Seems better and better the longer between reboots.

I got at least 24h with some normal to heavy usage (e-mail, phone, messaging, surfing, Spotifying all day long etc), but mostly i got 36h before charging.

With PR1.2 i get about 4-8h following the same usage patterns and 8-12h of low to normal usage (e-mail, phone, messaging and moderate browsing).

I guess rendering all the added LAGGING is utilizing huge amounts of CPU cycles to render ;-)

I think i am going to re-flash this weekend and see if things works out better for me.

EDIT: Nothing apparent is draining the battery, only "other hardware" ;-)

Best Regards,
Larksyrm

You know, this is a bit odd, I'm getting higher idle readings, about 17 versus 10 to 11 before, but overall, my battery life seems to have gone up.

On average, I get about 10 hrs, but I'm a fairly heavy user, so that's pretty much the standard, however, after PR 1.2, I can get a good 12 hour or so, and if I don't use it heavily (if I just stay home so the thing is sitting all the time) I can easily get 30 hours out of it, maybe more.

So, overall for me the battery life has gone up, I'm quite pleased.

P.S. I don't get that much lag, occasionally I do, but not more often than with 1.1, overall, things actually feel snappier.

A similar issue was there in 1.2, it was fixed but other changes resulted in a similar issue (same symptoms) cropping up
He tried to get it into 1.2 but was overlooked by the release manager, it looks like it may not even make it to 1.3 so far, everyone vote!

My idle voltage has gone down significantly and has been consistently between 35-45. Overall i am steadily getting 10+ hrs easily depending on what I'm doing.

Yes, I know - been following the bug. I haven't had the original one in PR1.1, but now I have the regression in PR1.2 Lets hope Don manages to push management to include in PR1.3! Everybody - help with voting!
