not so fast

ok update is ready. but i have a few comments so.. here we go

  • sudser - should i include this as a dependency still? (a few users have an issue with it)
for the update i ran into a few issue's but i have a guide.. first story
i wanted NXE to uninstall completely so in my post removeal script i put it to remove the whole dir "nxengine" so follow these instruction to have a seamless update. if not you'll have to update then remove then install or remove then install so it up to you guys
Code:
navigate to.
* /var/lib/dpkg/info *

look for..
* nxengine.postrm *

edit it, erase the remove line and put nothing...

now you can seamlessly update.
i'll wait after work to upload. that should be enough time to receive answers on sudser.

Edit: im not responsible for your game data or saves so keep that in mind.(backup your stuff)

I think you already know my opinion but thouht I'd post my vote for finding some other solution anyway. It just isn't a good idea to add programs like sudser as a dependency.

If you can't fix the checksum by generating the files again just open the .dsc file, use some program to check out the MD5 checksum of the .tar.gz file and then change the correpsonding checksum in the .dsc file. I just changed the dependencies and build-dependencies in the control file, so it's probably easy for you to just copy the two changed lines from my one to your's to test it.

I updated and the client didn't work. I did a apt-get remove --purge nxengine. If i apt-get install now, will it work?

Edit: Yep, worked! Don't mind me!
