Just got a Brodit passive car holder fof N9. First reaction is WTF? Does not fit at all because apparently it should be used with N9 that has silicone case on. I don't use (or even have because my white N9 came with leather pouch) silicon case.

I agree - the CP-553 looks great but is too tight to be usable without some serious stretching. The CP-557 works pretty well.

My biggest surprise was a flip case off EBay I got in desperation for all of $5 with free shipping - it works well and has saved my N9 from some knocks. Eventually a bit of plastic did crack but I just bought another!

For a car holder the old CR-115 I got for my old E55 works perfectly well

Pocket Boom Portable Vibration Speaker
-Demoed with Nokia N9

It’s a funky little speaker with an awesome conduction twist. Solidly build, looks great and sounds awesome as long as it can firmly attach to the surface. Speakers as small as these are obviously not for audiophiles but they are a great option for folks that travel or just a nice geek thing to have. With just your phone, a pocket boom and and easily obtainable cardboard box (or other useful surfaces) you can have music a crowd of people can listen to on the go.

These can be picked up at MobileFun for £19.99, making it one of the least expensive conduction/vibration style speakers available (as well as being nicer looking).

Check out three youtube vids & further details here:

Melkco flip type case is another variety:

However, with the 'supplied' one snugly fitting our phones do we need another?

if you wanted to get the cp-571(some people like oem stuff)

same price as the melkco case

same dealer as on the uk site, price is a touch cheaper here

the noreve case(exact same design) is about 15$ more than this, but you get to pick your own colors and leathers(more $$)

afaq,

This is the exact case I purchased. I posted about it and my opinion earlier in this very same thread.

Zack, thanks for that. The lack of USB cover opening is a no go for me. Unless you can post pics of the phone in the white case? i'd like to see how stylish it still looks

On another note, can I advise those who might have been thinking about using the touchpad's BT KB to stay away. I bought it for my touchpad but never used it until i got the N9. With somewhat flakey BT support now available i paired the two devices and found ONLY the alphabet is recognised when typed and even then the connection is flakey.
In fact I get an error where the backspace remains pressed (not physically) and all my typed text gets deleted.

Funny because the touchpad KB worked perfectly with the SGII.
