Without having the facts I would think it will be structured just like Ovi Maps for S60. The mapping program, all the map data and POI's, searches are all free. Announced turn-by-turn navigation is what will require purchase and they have drastically decreased their rates from what they were charging for Nokia Maps 2.0.

EDIT: More info here...

On the subject of Ovi...

If (as I suspect) this device is intended to be heavily integrated with Ovi, then Nokia better get on the ball and fast. I've been trying to live in the Ovi world lately and it's still very much broken. Adding insult to injury is that support is very poor at present.

Not trying to be a wet blanket, but just raising the flag... I will research further and make this my next blog article.

Awesome...thanks for the info...I have no clue about anything on S60. Though I do love the look of this program, its like the barry bonds edition of maemo mapper. LOL

i already asked this question in another thread but i just want to get more opinions on this...

will it be worth getting the n900 if i already have a n810, i love it but i have barely touched it since i got it and have seen all the videos on the n900. seeing that its all i wished the n810 was when i got it, i already have buyers remorse and want to sell the n810 to get the n900... but with all that it has going will it be better? if i dnt get service with t-mobile will i still be able to enjoy my n900 functionality like i do with my n810?

any suggestions is much appreciated, thanks
