From what I can gather, Gwibber runs excellently on OS2008, so I have been attempting to get it running on Fremantle.

It would be excellent as a dedicated facebook/twitter applications I think.

I've got the bzr branch on an Ubuntu karmic machine, began installing the dependencies and ran into a snag. Setup requires intltool and a bucnh of other libraries like python mxdatetime

Has anyone had any luck getting gwibber running?

Any progress with this? Just found gwibber and immediately thought how great a base to build upon this would be on the N900.

I'm pretty sure the kernel in Android has nothing to do with it. Any apps run on the Dalvik virtual machine, which might as well have been built on top of Windows.
