I discovered a problems with my facebook app last weekend.
Could not upload pictures to facebook via sharing plugin.

I reinstalled all facebook applications/widgets etc, but still same thing.

When I try to add my facebook account through the widget I get "wrong username /password"
But when I try to add the account via setting window I get "cannot validate the account" when I press the validate button.

....SO - I thought that the problem would solve when I installed the new maemo release ( installed via OVI ) but the problem is most persistent.

Is there any configfiles or something like that, that I can delete and start from scratch?

This has just happened to my wife's installation of the widget. She was trying to upload a photo to fb via the sharing button, and it wouldn't go through. she decided to re-enter her credentials, but accidentally put the wrong password in. now, when she puts the correct password, she can't validate. Tried uninstalling and re-installing, to no avail.

Were you able to find a solution?

try using

apt-get remove <packagename>
apt-get --purge <packagename>
apt-get update
apt-get install <packagename>

I can't remember the name of the facebook widget but if I do I'll post it up.

Sounds like the client application have insufficient rights to work with the Facebook API. For example publishing to FB wall or photo upload need additional rights from the user. Maybe the clients are not up to date or Facebook has changed something.
