I'm not sure if it is due to a change on Pandora.com or to changes in the new Maemo SSU (Dec 2008), but I noticed that Pandora.com works much more smoothly now. I had pretty much given up on it, because it would take forever to load and then would throw up a Javascript error, but I decided to give it another try today and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It still takes a fairly long time to load, but doesn't get stuck with a Javascript error now.

Of course, it would be *really* cool if Pandora would develop a Maemo-specific standalone app, like the one they have for iPhone and many other phones, but I'm just glad that the website itself works better now.

This is a good surprise! Although the interface is extremely slow, the music dose flow fluently...

Pandora is a waste of time on the tablet. There is a far better option:
1. Install and run Kmplayer (requires mplayer)
2. Go to menu: Generators: LastFM Flash Player
3. Enter an artist name and enjoy continuous music from similar artists without having to suffer through loading Pandora into your tablet.

Advantages:
* There is no registration required.
* Loads instantly and painlessly.
* It is so light on resources that you hardly notice it running.
Cheers

Thanks for the tip Thesandlord. I just installed Vagalume and love it. I think we are in agreement, however, that Last.fm is the way to go on the tablet until a dedicated and efficient solution for Pandora arrives.
I do think that the Kmplayer option remains attractive if you just want to experiment with some new artists without actually adding them to your registered Last.fm account.
Cheers
