B) is partially wrong : Yes there will be Skype soon but it 'appears' that Skype is (maybe) not included in the firmware (just as an separate application) and 'maybe' does not support video ... and "some time in July" !

Just be aware that what somebody writes in a blog doesn't necessarily need to be true....

Oh come on! If it's on the internet it must be true, just like putting a wing and fake chrome on a civic gives it more horsepower.

Sorry to dig this old post up, but this thread is the only thing on Google that refers to RX-44 in a tablet context. Today's revelations from the FCC show a new tablet has been submitted to them by Nokia:

http://tabletblog.com/2007/09/third-...-hits-fcc.html

The details of the tablet are still confidential, but the FCC page has the product's label, and the label identifies the hardware as... RX-44.

So it seems the stuff seen earlier related to this new tablet somehow.

The tablet's shape does imply it'll be the N800 with wimax, but the testing data made public by the FCC includes tests of GPS signals. I don't know how to interpret this, but is it possible the new tablet will have a built-in GPS receiver? There's certainly no separate receiver mentioned on the list of accessories in the test.
