Thanks a lot for all feedback! An updated QSpot version is scheduled for next week, and will be based on the official library.. A first alpha Harmattan version will hopefully be ready still this week.

In the meantime: Any news about the libspotify QSpot for the N900?

I aim to provide an initial version still this week using libspotify..

In (Finnish) press release about N9 shipments it is mentioned that Spotify will be available for Harmattan: http://www.nokia.fi/nokia/lehdisto/t...newsid=1549733

I suppose that it means that an official client will be made by Spotify?

I noticed it as well, it means that Spotify will be available officially. I hope that QSpot still can be a complement to it..

I have now been working on the libpspotify port of QSpot for N900, and basic functionality seems to be ok.. I will still need to make several adjustments due to differences between openspotify and libspotify. The next version will cache metadata (playlists, tracks etc.) by default (to EMMC), and possible include seek within track functionality.

I think it is realistic to assume that a preliminary version will be available beginning of next week (in case I can get the packing of the library for extras-devel done properly).

Trackcaching ey,that sounds as if offline support is on it's way??

Yes, ultimately offline mode will be added, probably very soon..

I see an update in fapman, but can't install it. Something about libspotify not installable
