I just found out that the latest firmware does support SDHC cards up to 32GB of capacity. (Don't ask how I know it... because I can not tell you... )

See? I told you that you were getting worse than me. Which is good... for me.

(I'm in Helsinki through Thursday... I was beginning to think the clouds would never break!)

So the next firmware will corrupt cards within fifteen minutes then?

BTW, I cannot feed a bug report (as I haven't downgraded to the latest firmware), but I think there have been enough reports fed for either of two things to happen: Nokia providing a fix for the card-eating firmware or Nokia publically apologizing, admitting they're no good at writing firmware and replacing people's mangled cards.

You know I was being facetious. I have to watch that...

Also I have to refrain from comment on your last remarks... as much as I'd like to pipe up... : X

We'll see, but I'm putting lots of hope for that release...

Fair point from Karel though - the amount of time that has elapsed without any real progress towards resolution is... deeply unimpressive.

I'm beginning to wonder if these cards are just not well suited to use with a device like the N800. A camera is a lot less demanding than a computer, it seems.

I've had that fear too, geneven. I wonder if these new hard drives containing big flash buffers are really ready for prime time...
