Can someone test the 770 and tell me if they are able to view streaming video on the following ips:

http://benbird.homeip.net/

If you view this site, you will need to sign on.
The user id and password is "guest". Once on the site,
choose viewing method as "auto" or "java applet".

The other site(s) I would like to view are:

http://70.107.225.104/home/homeJ.html .

http://70.107.225.103/home/homeJ.html

Once there, click on java applet.

Is anyone able to view the video ? If so, how many frames per second ? If not, any plug-ins/suggestions ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Regards,

Greg

It is my understanding that the N770 does not handle Java Applets at this time. Future versions of the OS may.

Can you or someone else try it who actually owns the 770?
Do these ip work as outlined in my previous comments?

IF THEY CANNOT BE VIEWED,
can someone try when going to
http://benbird.homeip.net/

"server-push stream" or "still images" under image viewing method ? (Neither of these 2 methods are java applets). Do at least, either of these image viewing methods work ? If so, which one(s) ?

Thanks for your help

Greg

Weavus:

I am assuming that you are referring to the
http://benbird.homeip.net/ site ?

I'm totally stoked !
Did you load any plug-ins in order to view ip ?
Does "java applet" work as a viewing method ?
How is the clarity of video when viewing ?

Would you mind trying:
http://70.107.225.104/home/homeJ.html and
http://70.107.225.103/home/homeJ.html

Thanks !!

GLeoni,
There is no java on the 770, only javascript. (javascript != java)

So.... if you can use
"Auto", "javascript refresh, "server-push stream" (per weavus) for
viewing methods when going to
http://benbird.homeip.net/ ,

could someone try this:

Choose "movablecam" for camera

In any of 3 methods above, you should be able to see
an "Open PTZ window for "MoveableCam" button below the
video feed. If you click on that, you should be able to
pan/tilt the camera (real time).
Which viewing methods, if any, can you pan/tilt the camera ?

Thanks for your help !!

Greg

I went to this site and logged in. I chose "auto" for the method of panning the camera. I found I was controlling the lower of the two images.

What I saw was more like updated images, and not video. When a car passed, I saw only two or three images of it, but spread over several seconds.
