Is that possible to replace the NOKIA920 OS with Harmattan 1.3?

with Power of Community

can you guys make this possible?

TURN Nokia 920

become a device with Meego Harmattan 1.3 firmware.

This will be more far good than the FXXXing WP8.

Very unlikely to say the least.

Lets put aside getting all the needed hardware drivers to have a usable system on the device. And that large parts of Harmattan are closed source and thus can't be really used on another device.

It is almost certain that the bootloader is locked, meaning that it would only run firmware images signed by Nokias private key. So even if you had Harmattan or some other alternative OS, it won't let you replace the current one.

Its kinda shame that such a nice hardware is wasted for such a crappy OS.

tl;dr:
you can't even replace the OS (if you had something to replace it with) due to locked bootloader

That means only can be done by NOKIA itself

..........IF NOKIA start the"PLAN B"-------KICK Microsxxx out, Stick back with MeeGo.

P/S: What in my mind is, seems the "PLAN B" is what Jolla doing now.( I wish it can get develop more faster)

Everything in hardware form (processor, camera, screen, wireless charging...etc)

Highly doubtful. No drivers for the camera, no noted support for dual core Qualcomm processors... no drivers for external microSD I reckon were ever deployed, no drivers for that wifi chipset.

Uphill battle would be easier than tackling this. And besides, Maemo/MeeGo has never been fully ported - Mer excluded - to any other device as it stands on your N9.
