I almost missed it, but: Yesterday was Richard M. Stallman's 60th birthday. I know some people don't share my point of view here, but as I see it, he is the one who started it all with his visions of free software and the work he put into the GNU manifesto and the GPL. I'm sure that without RMS, there would have been no Maemo, no MeeGo, no Nokia 770 or Nokia N9. (Nor would there be an operating system called Ubuntu, which I use to type this...)

Happy birthday, RMS, and thanks for all the freedom I enjoy.
