I dont think the problem is with the SIP account or credentials, but with the availability icon. it does not seem to register the click - i.e. nothing happens when u touch the icon

you can create a free account @ sipgate.com to test or I can send you my account info - pls PM me if thats what you want to do

it was working fine with status menu extension, so i'm guessing its due to some difference in the way the new code is implemented

EDIT: tried with SIP accounts from 2 different providers - same issue - so its not an account/credential problem

I can't install "Unrestricted-system-ui".
Inception method and Open mode method - both won't work (I still can't install the "system-ui_1.3.2-1+0m8_armel.deb" file).

Can you please help me and tell me what to do?

EDIT: I just enabled battery percentage in status area (this is what I wanted to do). But now I have a strange clock launcher in the status bar:

Can anyone help me to remove it?

EDIT 2: Problem solved...

Thank you!!

This one bothered me as besides for the missing translations, the status menu widget for alarms actually works quite nicely. So I added translations for it by editing the corresponding translation file for my N9.

The widget displays when the next alarm is scheduled and gives quick access to the Clock application with a single touch.

These strings you usually see (like "qtn_cloc_status_menu_alarms") are replaced at runtime from compiled translation files. For this applet, these are the files clock_en.qm and clock_en_US.qm, although they are identical. I think the difference is whether you selected "English (United Kingdom)" or "English (United States)" in the settings.

I am sharing the modified files so you can use them as well. This overwrites files usually provided by other packages!

Code:
devel-su # enter root pass
wget http://raim.codingfarm.de/tmo/clock_en.qm
mv clock_en.qm /usr/share/l10n/meegotouch/clock_en.qm
cp /usr/share/l10n/meegotouch/clock_en.qm /usr/share/l10n/meegotouch/clock_en_US.qm
/sbin/initctl restart xsession/sysuid
Note that this will only work for English. Applying the same fix would be possible for different languages as well, but I do not have personal interest in that. If you want to translate other languages or do not like my translations, use Qt Linguist to edit the .qm files.
