If you want that, help with enabling OTR and ZRTP in Telepathy (or find someone who can help, or sponsor it - see links below).

the problem would be to have client no of your friends use, so maybe call it "forever alone messenger" ?

I don't see any reason for yet another incompatible proprietary IM app (that are currently apparently all the rage these days).
Proper out-of-the box Jabber support might help to set things right, at least a bit.

Meego have unified Message center as is on N9. All IM protocols must be integrated as telepathy plugin. As is on N9. Then all IMs are integrated in Contact card.
N900 with Maemo 5 have same integration. This is right way.
Open different app for each IM protocol is style from past century. No way.
PS: I use daily two jabber accounts in Message center on N9. This is functionaly a opensource (telepathy+jabber/xmpp).

and you can send any files over jabber on n9 ?
for me is jabber okay, i have self a openfire server for this and my friends in the list, its okay... but, i want send any files directly. For Calls is it enough if exist a Teamspeak app, because i have a ts server too, but better is if we can use one app for all them, you know!?

Not sure about he state of Jabber voice and video communication (IIRC it is called Jingle ?), but i plan to look into that soon.
Also another are that might need to be addressed are multiuser conferences (MUC) - this was not supported on the N9 out of the box, but there is a third-party application adding that. Having MUC support out of the box would be really nice and could be used for other messaging services that support multi-user communication not just Jabber (IRC, etc.).

XMMP also supports voice call (Gtalk, some jabber servers.. )
Ok, I was not needed send files. But better is add this function to unified messenger. Or .. you may to have your app as addon, not as base app for IM.
Simply - Unified Message Center with IM plugins is "MUST HAVE" for me. I am not able return to past century ..

give it a chance that some one make a own Messenger like XMPP-Protocoll but with working file transfer, OTR & (Video) Calls?
Xabber and other Android Apps cant send any files
