I just quickly tested a video call between my n800 and my toshiba tabletPC and it seemed to work fine ***

You need ...
on your desktop:
http://download.gizmoproject.com/jas...-4-0-0-305.exe
[as per this announcement today]

on your Internet tablet:
Gizmo for n800 Version 4.0.0 (build 82)
[link I downloaded it from a while back was here]

*** my toshiba tabletPC is old and and its video webcam performance is poor, so it was difficult to evaluate the quality.

I wonder if RTCOMM will be enough to use for video chat. Might not be if Gizmo uses proprietary video codecs.

To me as well. I'd like it so much, I registered so I can post/beg for it.

you can get the N800 deb HERE

gizmo 4.0 does not play well with rtcomm, so if you have rtcomm installed expect crashes.

Finally! ... but I have some issues (expected; it is still in early beta after all), which I list here just in case I'm not the only one:
- Cannot get it to work with Vista (Trust webcam): when I press the video button it pops up an error ("StartVideoEx Failed - Error: <>")
- On one XP computer, the video button is permanently grayed out

Cannot post on their forums, so if anyone can relay this message there, I'd be grateful.
