It seems your javascripts spits out an announcement to safari users every time the front page is reloaded. After jumping back and forth between the front page and newest message threads, this gets a little annoying.

Could the 'safari_warning' option be set to false in tiny_mce.js, unless the message is really necessary.

Yes, for some reason, we have defined that variable and the message is still appearing. We have disabled the message. You shouldn't see the message anymore.
