I used to love my n800. I used to carry it everywhere with me.

Then came iPad and n800 was forgotten. Now the honeymoon is over and I must admit that I chose the wrong gadget. Even though n800 is older it's size, weight and hardware capabilites are outstanding (2xSD slots, FM radio etc).

But the truth is that OS looks and feels dated. Is there way to get fresh OS on the tablet? Joli OS or some other?

I say I have to agree I keep coming back to my N800 also.

I've been looking at the same thing, what can I do to update this sweet little device.

As far as maemo 4 goes I believe that route is dead to update to any kind of 3.x kernel. And I think all the newer ARM linux releases have been for ARM v7 based (N8x0 is v6 instruction set I believe)

FWIW I got OpenWRT running on the n810, a 3.3.8 kernel--a
guy named Michael Buesch did the original work, and I had to
do a bunch of cleanup on bit rot which had set in. I don't have time
to take it farther right now, but it's probably the most modern starting
point you could find for the n810 platform.

Does anyone know where I can download the latest OS for N800?

I want to reflash and start from scratch, but all the links are dead.
