There is no entrance fee I just called and booked myself in for the 2pm event on Saturday the 12th.

The girl on the phone told me I can't book more than two tickets, so probably it's best to call and register yourself at this phone number:

020 7928 3232

Anyone else from this forum and in London keen? Let me know!
Hi Rocks,

could you post some links (if any) to these other sessions/workshops?
Will they be at the same time as the main event on Saturday at 2pm?

Update: BFI just called me back telling me that the 2pm event as been cancelled and they moved my booking on the 12pm one.

But now that I check on-line I don't see any event at that time.. I shall call back and check what's going on....

I'm only free at 5pm on the Thursday, and I doubt there's anything on then, so I'll skip the exhibition and move straight to drinks.

Works for me. Swim by on IRC or drop me an email so I can drop my phone number.

Maybe we should organise a meeting place for everyone to come together.

So these look like are the two events:
There are two events:

Event 1:
'it's good to be open' - panel discussion

When:
Thu 10 Sept 19:00

Where:
Delegate Centre,
the British Film Institute (BFI), Southbank, London, UK

Abstract (updated):
Open source developed out of an open distribution of software,
offering practical access to source code for others to improve and
collaborate on. This open and collaborative approach has spread much
further as a means to approach design, development, and new production
models as the world wakes up to the value of sharing and openness.
With speakers from Nokia, Tinker.it! and Joel Gethin Lewis.

Event 2:
"Nokia: the art of open source"

When:
Saturday 12th, 14pm (actually this may be incorrect, but it's what in
their webpage)

Where:
At the British Film Institute (BFI), Southbank, London, UK

Abstract:
An introductory workshop showcasing the development potential of the
Maemo platform.
Maemo developers will explain how you can get involved with this
dynamic developer community, the many different applications this open
source platform can facilitate and the new Nokia technologies that are
expanding the possibilities of open source collaboration between
designers, developers and users.

Hi all -

Apologies for being a bit late on the uptake here but we're having issues with the BFI site administrators.

The Nokia Art of Open Source session is scheduled for 12pm - we had to cancel the 2pm session because various members of the team had other commitments come up at the last minute.

Be a pleasure to have you down so please get in touch if you want any last minute tickets.
