I was just sitting and browsing facebook, and got an idea that i would be nice to have an application that alerts us if an activity happens within our facebook accounts, i donno hwo hard or simple this my be, but i guess it would be a nice add to our N900s.

p.s: i know there is a widget for facebook already, but that doesn't notify us.

set up a push email on your n900, go to facebook and set up email alerts as you desire. instant notification.

and is it for messeges only, or can be setup for other alerts ?

theres a wiki on here explaining how to set up push email with nokia messaging and your current email address that would explain it far better than i could. then you just go to the facebook website and in the top right corner account>account settings, and notifications tab. theres also text notification options but i dont use these and they're not available everywhere.
there's 50+ options for what you would or wouldn't like to receive email alerts about.
