Indeed, the build is from march so no worries

This. I wonder if it has to do with some alarms silently happening, that is without playing the alarm tone or using vibration...

I think so, that is why I am REing it. I am glad to hear I am not the only one to encounter/see the problem. Hopefully I will have the source code by the end of the week.

FMG, You are definitely not the only one. I stopped using my N900 as alarm after that happened me twice. It didn't alarm and I missed 2 hours school. Now if you miss 1 lesson you need to come back twice the amount you missed, so I wasted 4 hours of my life :P

Also while you RE'ing it, would it be possible to only stop ringing after some reaction, not at the end of the song. -.-

Do not know if this matches here, but would like to share my experience:
I also lost some meeting/wake-up (not yet flights ) due to not ringing. I found last time that the complete hildon-home was frozen. You know that: you may change desktops, contacts and standard apps working from desktop, but no widgets or selfmade icons anymore, no notifications for calls, SMS, any ...

Killing hildon-home cures, but alarm is gone.
So I am also afraid to use N900 as alarm!

I found workaround for me for another hildon-desktop bug, but not for this one, as I can not see any extensive CPU or IO or whatever causing hildon-home to "strike". Any?

Are these (silent) alarms set via the calendar or via the clock?

Apologies for sounding thick - what's the relationship between the alarm system and the dsp packages?
- or is it a case of "since I installed the dsp patch, the alarms've been playing up"? Therefore the relationship is still TBC?

I set mine via alarmd. Never missed an alarm yet.

How many of you afflicted by this are running the clock replacement thing?
