unfortunately there exists some network issue which is not jolla's fault, check https://together.jolla.com/question/...ainland-china/

generally you need to set up a proxy or change your internet provider.

you can set up a transparent proxy on your pc and share it via wifi.

or grab a sim-card from china unicom with a large data plan

the connection issue will persist even if you have your device reset

I haven't really had any luck with google two-way sync. If I create a new or modify an existing (google) contact on Jolla, nothing ever gets sent to the server. It just saves it on the phone.

It seems that you need to do an upgrade to 1.0.2.5 first, then 1.0.7.16.

Maybe you could seek help in the #jollamobile IRC channel.
