My battery last approx 2hrs max. N900 is my main phone so i use it heavily. I have noticed that recently my battery has been dying more than it used to. A few months back i used to get 4hrs heavy usuage but now its 2hrs or so if im lucky.

I think my actual battery is dying because it is now only 1281 (mAh) at full capacity?

My wifi is always on, my 4 desktops are riddled with widgets. I'm thinking the battery drain has something to do with 'Desktop Command Widget' but not sure?

Does anyone know an application i can use to invesitgate battery drainage.

Is this normal?

Thanks

battery-eye offers some statistics. Here's mine:

I keep wi-fi always on, btw.

My battery lasts 24-36hrs on Wi-Fi (connected, collecting mail every 15 minutes, Skype/GChat for at least half that time, OM-Weather widget running). On GPRS, it lasts maybe 5-6hrs...

I use Titan's Power Kernel and some other tweaks to paging and stuff, and 2g-3g switcher, with PR1.3 (which itself made a huge difference to battery life).

moderate use: a tyipiical day in teh life of my n900:

unplug from charger at 8:00am
+- 30 of min skype calling,
+- 15 min of 3G calling
Wifi all day (only conected at home or office)
3G data not conected
+- 20 min MP3 audio
1 x sync

i get 7 hrs (some times less some times more)
wifi i think kills my battery as i talk more on weekends and am not connected to a wifi and my battery lasts 12+ hrs.
