how i can block update for ppp and backupmenu ?

i installed new backupmenu and it give 2 errors on start and i dont like this version but i like version 0.56 and now install it and every things is ok . but application manager and faster application manager always display me a new update for backupmenu

i searched in froum and find things about preferences in

/etc/apt
ppp package have new update too but i dont like update it for reasons

please help me to block new update for ppp package and backupmenu package

Your english is fine, it's your patience you have to work on..

So in FAPman there a button for blocking (Blacklisting) all versions or just the a current/next version.

It's the grey button with the little "X" in one of the little squares. After clicking this you've have the choice of what you what to do.

This is the fastest way via gui, I think.

Yeah i need this for HAM too.

I've blocked transmission from FAM but HAM tells me nearly every day that there is a new one.

Guys as far as I remember there is not a way. Which is why a lot of ppl use FAPman since you can do just about everything there.

The trick is to delay the HAM app from checking all the time. I'm too busy to search for it. But perhaps someone else can find it. You basically change the time the app checks in from every 24 hrs to every 2, 6, 12 months (or more if you like), this way you won't be bothered by all these updates. You could also delete/disable all the repo's so they won't be check as well.
