Thanks for this Reggie!

Before the notifications had a convenient link to the first unread pst in a thread. The new notifications only offer (as far as I can see) a link to the first post of a thread. Is it possible to keep offering the convenient link in order to save a click?

Note: I'm not in the email notifications group. I just subscribe to threads from time to time.

I have added the "&goto=newpost" on the link, so it should bring you to the first unread post on that thread.

Thanks Quim.

It works. I just come here after clicking that link in an email notification.

Sorry, I had to wait for the summary to be sent before replying to your question.

The standard feature allows that already. Here's an example of what is sent for the "Daily updates by email" option:

How does the "reply area" work with quoting? i.e. if I reply to an email, my email client hardwraps the lines and puts "> " at the start of each line. Are these automatically stripped?

Similarly, is it possible to strip out single newlines (at >~55 characters) from emails before posting them? Currently they're getting newlines into the forum post, rather than soft-wrapping.

I got the same error message, but I could still activate the notifications under Edit Forum Subscriptions. Haven't actually tested it yet though..

Every now and then (about a third of the time), I get a notification email with a bogus

Code:
Content-Transfer-Encoding: $encoding
header (when things are working fine it's "8bit" instead). The most recent instance was Message-Id: <84358.1209282@emailintegration> in case it helps.
