I think I'll do it the other way around, though - green for outgoing, blue for incoming.

this is a bit off topic but i was wondering if we can use custom fonts in n9.
at least there is this option in constants.ini file that is located in
usr/share/themes/base/meegotouch/
FONT_FAMILY = "Put your custom font name here";
id like to use coalition font for digital clock and some other elements

I have changed the color of the Call - Icons.
Outgoing Call = Green
Incoming Call = Blue
Copy the Icons to /usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/icons and Reboot.
Attachments: 2x modded Icons and 2x default Icons
