I found the camera quality is very bad on N900, for example, night shot will have many noise on the pricture, my previous 5800's camera is better a lot compare with N900.....

Hope nokia will provide upgrade make better camera picture...

I find N900s camera 2x better than 5800.

Regarding night shots, this is effected mostly by the sensor size I believe,which cellular phones still keep it tiny.
even some compact P&S cameras canreally handle low light environments correctly.

It is really not bad, just don't forget to remove the blue color near the lense and have a look at the manual focus script (lfocus) which can enable for example also the flashlight while you make videos.

Does someone know by the way how you can remove the "slider" of the camera completely to color it fully black at the side?

But i do think the camera quality was better before PR 1.2

I am sure 5800 night shot is better than N900 with PR 1.2....

Hope nokia will release upgrade to make N900 produce better camera picture....

Why you think that this blue color affect to Picture quality?

it is not because it reflects back the flash from the LED.

Whenever I am going to take a shot that requires the flash I just remove the back cover first.
