I'm certain this has been asked before, but my meager search skills turned up nothing of value So, here it goes... Is there a way to *completely* disable hildon input UI ?

Please, dont' ask why, say it will break other apps or that I'm not using my NIT as intended... I. Want. It. Off. Is it possible ?

I know I can disable the stylus keyboard, but that is not enough as there are still problems with the constantly resizing text bar/slider action.

Run

Code:
killall hildon-input-method
in xterm...

Edit: Nevermind, Maemo auto-restarts hildon-input-method when its killed, sorry

Brute force method:

move all files from /usr/lib/hildon-input-method to a safe place

and/or

rename /usr/bin/hildon-input-method to /usr/bin/_hildon-input-method

reboot

EDIT:

After you've renamed and/or moved things, it might not hurt to call:

sudo hildon-im-recache

Code:
cd /etc/osso-af-init
mv keyboard.* /wherever
reboot
But as I just found out: you lose the ability to be able to use your Fn key.
