Unfortunately I never got any further looking in Jasper after hitting issue of needing gfortran from one version of gcc4.6, c/c++ compiler from thumb.
I'm writing my own framework to do what Wit.ai did. I'd always planned to do this eventually, so that it would be able to run without a connection, but this made that project a priority.

Have you considered starting a "donate to taixzo" movement in order to garner funds for new hw like the Jolla?
We've seen plenty other examples of that in the Maemo 5x/6x + MeR/Nemo/Sailfish community...
Plenty of tools/mechanisms to employ to effectively do so, I'd be surprised if you aren't able to raise enough $.

Do you think that this is a popular enough project for something like that to succeed?

+1 I'd contribute.

Who knows - it depends on the goal and target amount. On the other hand, there's nothing to lose.

Didn't know about that, but good for you -- and thanks.

Sure hoping this hardware deficit can be resolved for you.

(When facebook finally buys LinkedIn, a bunch of smug smiles gonna be wiped off some faces.)

taixzo: What would you say you need/want more, an N9, N900, or Jolla?

At this point, probably a Jolla, given that I can still sort of use my N900, and the Harmattan port is unlikely to ever be any good seeing as there is no PyOtherSide for it.

Maybe try to raise enough funds to buy a Jolla, 2nd-hand N9, & a repair for your N900.
But really, maybe it's just time to consolidate/focus on one device/platform...

I will focus mainly on Sailfish, secondarily on Maemo seeing as the Neo900 may bring a revival.

Your call. Do remember though that N9 users are still a fairly significant pool of -potential- funds.
