Besides that i really like the motorola Droid 3, if only it had maemo or meego instead of boring android.....
Yea, I agree. I think that once/if root is obtained the Droid 3 will be alot more fun to play with. I'm feeling optomistic. There will be many devices down the road that will present new opportunities and challeges. The fun is only beginning!

Nokia effectively stopped support for the N900 almost one year ago with the release of PR1.3.

the communirty has done a sterling job since then delivering updates, new and enhanced functionaility and updates for the device.

the concern at the minute is that a lot of the talented and active devs have been given N950s and some are only pushing updated versions to the N9.

As a community we need to enourage these devs to backport to the N900 whereever possible; or to release to meegoCE as well.

Is there any ongoing/upcoming projects for replicating N9 swap UI on N900 MeeGo/Maemo?

Thanks in advance,
Sudarsan,

I fear the worse for the N900 as it is clear most developers have moved to the N9 and this is probably as good as it gets for the N900. Bar tweaks to the OS we have not seen much development for the N900 recently. In 6 months time the N900 could well be forgotten.

However at the moment the phone is still holding it's own so enjoy it while it lasts,
