You could just download the .deb directly from here, it's the last post on the first page IIRC.

Well because if it can be done in the terminal without installing any extra apps... oh well. Will get the unzip extension. Thanks!

If you have downloaded a deb-file, you just type

Code:
dpkg -i FILENAME.deb
If it's a zipped file, first use

Code:
unzip FILENAME
(in both cases use the correct file name)

Very strange, no any channel works for me. I have a 3.5G connection and I get this type of error:
Set location QUrl( "rtsp://lb.sg.softspb.com/0987-6543-2109/59_350.sdp" )
INFO 2010-07-19T20:23:11.170 gst error "Could not read from resource."
each time that I try to watch a channel.

Folks,

Is the source code available to be reviewed? While the application might "work", I feel we should do an audit of the source code (assuming it is provided in addition to the binary, and it actually matches the binary).

I am sure the developers of SPB TV are not malicious and are great developers, however we need to be aware of the constant threat of seemingly useful applications originating from places in Eastern Europe like Russia which could actually be stealing information on the device (think "spyware"). The concept of "ethics" in Eastern Europe is vastly different from the rest of the developed world, especially when it comes to "taking from the rich (us) to give to the poor (them)".

The Russian-language saying is "Доверай но проверай", which means "Trust people, but double check them".
