On my brand new N9, my contacts' birth dates are automatically imported from my Skype account, but for some reason, they appear one day earlier in the N9's Contacts application or in the specific calendar.
Just to be clear, I'm not talking about the notification for the birthday event, but for the actual contact's birthdate.
My timezone (i'm in France) is correctly set in both my N9 settings and my skype account.

I wouldn't be worried too much about this, except I believe it is responsible for syncevolution not wanting to sync with my owncloud instance anymore.

Has anyone else experienced this ?
Is there a way to disable birth dates import from skype contacts ?
Is there a way to remove a contact information that has been imported from skype ?
Any other idea ?

I have/had this problem, too.

You probably merged contacts from various "sources" -- from addressbook, skype, google, etc. and have birthday set more than once. There is also another bug that appear if you try edit such contact -- it will not save changes.

My solution -- unmerge problematic contact, for each part* check details and start merging again. Sometimes you need to remove birthday detail from one part, but you will get it back from other. If wont't save after merge, try merging one by one. Very annoying.

I hope it's clear

Cheers,
b.

*part = contact source, for ie. contacts, skype, google, fb ...

Thanks for your help.
I managed to unmerge a contact but I cannot modify/delete a skype-given detail.

Here's what happen on a "unmerged" skype contact :
The birthdate is 1 day wrong :

If I try to "edit details", it shows the right date but I cannot edit or delete it.

Any workaround ?

Sorry, no.

Reading Jolla User Experience Thread I found link to another thread that describes this bug and is "wontfix":
