I also posted this news to N810 forum, but I put this here also. If you're interested in about running QTopia Core on N800/N810, the instructions are here:

http://medusa.tutka.net/~mmattila

Later this stuff will be at:
http://qtablet.laginen.net

From there you can also find ready made binaries for QTopia Core 4.4, tslib and kernel image. The reason for this is that I started a little project called QTablet, which purpose is to create fully Qt/QTopia Core based application framework to get rid of Hildon Application Framework (GUI).

From the link above, you can find video clip and screenshots of QTablet (App Framework) proto version running in practice.

Seems to be good work - at least the doc looks very well

So it shoould be no problem to get the famous KDEPIM suite working on the Nokia tablets - that would be the PIM killer argument!

But the main problem will be the virtual keyboard - right?
That's always the problem.
But if we get the N810 one day - that would be history.

Uwe

Yes, that's my hope too.

Thanks to Michael Krelin, I've got a copy of the KDEPIM source that's been ported to QT4. It compiles and runs on my laptop, though there are some problems.

I'm awaiting my N810 in order to test kdepimpi (kopi and kapi, mainly) there. If anyone else would like the source code, please let me know. I'm really not experienced enough with C++/QT to make much progress debugging any issues.
