I want to build a desktop app that communicates with my N900 via some TCP socketry. How on earth do I build a desktop app with Nokia QT SDK Creator? Any help would be appreciated.

An n900 home screen widget, or a regular desktop pc application?
The last I saw on this subject was this link. I never got it to work, part of the reason I never developed anything interesting for the n900 and eventually left.
