What do you think guys ? Will it be a good deal for Nokia after all ?
Btw I'm sure it will be for many of us
They surely worked hard on this before the Intel fusion. So why not make the show's going on with this very nice maemo OS on a more actual hardware ?
(sorry for my english)

They dont want open free systems anymore.
Its all a masterplan to hurt QT/MeeGo/Maemo and kill Symbian

The community wouldn't trust them initially. It would have to take a radical change in their board and executive structure for them to make anything Maemo or open source derived that folks would ever buy into that ever again and support it fully.

Never know... they might start, stop, dump or dash it again at a moment's notice. Nobody would get behind that.

Never gonna happen, much as we might wish it would.

I still harbour a half-hearted hope that Nokia might open-source the closed Maemo 5 components (but only because I'm desperate; I don't actually think it's gonna transpire).

After what happened with Maemo 4.1 (Diablo) - I don't expect Nokia to release a damn thing. And that's a (very) dead OS.

That was my turning point.

So sad if you're all right. Crual world ! It will be a crime. I can't still believe it yet that all this good work they made is going to rubbish soon :/
Thanks to all for your reply.
But then if someone could give us a little hope to that, he's welcome ! :-)

Well, what else would "Meego related device" (the term both Elop & Green keep using) mean than a Harmattan-Meego device?

I'll put my money in a MeeGo-based tablet. Nokia Z500? After all, a tablet is a "device".
