Yep, this is on my long term roadmap.
My idea was to present the user the list of available profiles in widget settings menu he can then order his profiles. The widget will then switch the profiles in the given order.
In the following weeks, I will update this thread with a concrete roadmap of planned features.
But as I restricted myself (see first post, last sentence), I cannot give a timetable, because it does not depend on me, but on volunteers (maybe you), who test this app.

In that case, I will test this little widget when I am home!

Roadmap for Profile Changer Widget
version 1.0.x (1 week)
Workaround for https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-24942 "Done" Button from settings dialog is not translatable
FIX Feedback button opens browser only when the browser daemon process runs
version 1.1 (2 weeks)
Icon background from theme as another option
Exchange spinbuttons with sliders in settings menu
version 1.2 (4 weeks)
Support for additional profiles (profilesx)
version 1.3 (2 weeks?)
desktop icon alignment (snapping)
But as I restricted myself (see first post, last sentence), I do not know which date my estimation starts, because it does not depend on me, but on volunteers (maybe you), who test this app.

So yesterday was a good day for this widget. It got enough votes to unlock promotion to extras and it is there.
Now it is up to me to keep my promise. I will push a new version two extras testing by 2012-04-11 which will include at least two fixes.

If you like this application you can rate and comment it.

Yesterday, I promoted version 1.0.4 to testing repository. One day later then estimated. Sorry for that.
The next thing I will work on is:
* Icon background from theme as another option
* Exchange spinbuttons with sliders in settings menu

I estimated two weeks and I will start as soon as the current version has enouh votes to make it to extras or is rejected.

One vote to go for extras

Been using this widget for some time now, it did work as expected and now I use it quite more often than the status-bar-applet, well done!

Request: Can the we have an option to change the icon?(I mean the way it's done in connect now widget)

Thanks!
Of course, I can do that, but I am not a good icon designer, but I could give you a file chooser menu, or maybe the theme 48x48 icon directory? What do you think?

Both

Like I said, I like the way the connect now widget it does. It has 5 built in icons and sixth custom, where you can select two files (one for disabled, and one for enabled connection)

If needed I can provide screenshots of the ConnectNow widget, however seeing/feeling it yourself might explain a lot more I can understand you don't want to install extra widgets.

The way I would like to see in Profile Changer Widget is 2 options(or maybe 3):
(0.) - Default the way it's now
1. - Follow theme
2. - Specify custom images by means of a file selection window/popup
