Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before, should I expect the battery to drain on an n900 faster when it is switched off than when it is on?

When the phone is off, the battery lasts approx 6-10 hrs (rebooted only three times during this time to check), when the phone is switched on and doing nothing the battery lasts about 24-36hrs.

My assumption is rebooting takes more power than just leaving it switched on.

Strangely with KernelPower48 the battery lasted 1-2 weeks when the phone was just left switched on and doing nothing but I doubt that has anything to do with my question.

TIA

Are you using Multiboot? I'm not 100% sure this is the cause, but I get this behaviour on my N900 that has NITDroid and multiboot, regardless of whether I last booted into Maemo or NITDroid.
