Maybe you have not heard it before. Today, Fennec 1.0 Beta was released by Mozilla. There are tons of announcements available, e.g. this and that.

As I have not downloaded it yet, I can not offer you my first impressions. Nevertheless, you can give it here a try.

Edit: I installed it. Its REALLLY bad. Slow, unresponsive, and crashing. Mobile version of MSNBC, etc work fine. But load up a regular site, and BOOM!


Ah well, maybe the next release will work....

actually theres already another thread for this (search for mozilla mobile beta)

Thanks for indicating it. Seems that I didn't made the connection between Firefox and Fennec.

Anyhow, I just realized that Fennec requires ~29MB space. This seems somewhat over the top for my tastes - not to mention the missing 9 MBs.

Okay, back to the original thread
